Being invited to bat, Sydney Thunder got off to a flying start, thanks to Sam Konstas explosive batting.
The Thunder reached 36 for none in three overs before the collapse. David Warner was the first to be dismissed for eight.

Perth Scorchers, in reply, remained clueless and lost their wickets in quick intervals, including two runouts.
Aaron Hardie was the team’s top run-scorer with 22, as Perth Scorchers were bundled out for 61. It was Perth’s fourth staright loss in the season, and this defeat has further narrowed their chances for the playoffs.
Chris Green remained the most economical and successful bowler after delivering a spell of 4-0-13-3. Nathan McAndrew bagged two wickets while giving 21 runs in 3.2 overs.
