The Brisbane Heat are a franchise cricket team in the Big Bash League of domestic Twenty20 cricket in Brisbane, Australia (BBL). In season 2 of the BBL, Brisbane Heat became champions for the first time. The Big Bash League and the Brisbane Heat team were both established during the BBL 2011–12 season. Brisbane Cricket Ground is the site of Brisbane Heat’s home games. Wade Seccombe is the team’s head coach, and Usman Khawaja serves as the team’s current captain. KFC BBL Brisbane Heat‘s Performance

KFC BBL 2011-12

First serving as the team’s captain was Peter Forrest. The Brisbane Heat had a terrible season debut. Out of eight league games, they only won three of them. They finished the season in fifth place after failing to advance to the semifinals.

KFC BBL 2012-13

James Hope was named the new Brisbane Heat captain after the team’s franchise changed its team captain. Brisbane Heat advanced to the semifinals by winning all four of their league games. They defeated the Melbourne Renegades in the semifinal match to advance to their first-ever BBL final. Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat competed in the championship game. Brisbane Heat was able to defeat their opponent by 34 runs and capture the championship for the first time.

KFC BBL 2013-14

In BBL 2013–14, the reigning champions were unable to get past the semifinals. They were only able to win three of their eight league games, and they placed fifth overall.

KFC BBL 2014-15

The Brisbane Heat’s poorest season to date was this one. They had terrible performance throughout the competition. Out of eight league games, they only won two. In the BBL 2014–15, Brisbane Heat concluded the season in last place.

KFC BBL 2015-16

The Brisbane Heat team’s new captain for the BBL 2015–16 season is Chris Lynn. Chris Lynn batted well and served as the team’s captain, although Brisbane Heat only managed to win three league matches. They placed sixth at the end of the season.

KFC BBL 2016-17

The team added new, excellent cricketers after signing them. In the BBL 2016–17, Chris Lynn was in incredible shape. He was also chosen as the competition’s player of the year. Brisbane Heat advanced to the semifinals by winning all five of their league games. They faced the Sydney Sixers in the semifinals and lost in a shootout. Brisbane Heat placed third overall at the end of the season.

KFC BBL 2017-18

Early in the competition, the squad was producing high-caliber cricket, but they lost their final league games. They failed to make the playoffs after losing their last four league games. The BBL 2017–18 saw them win 4 games and lose 6 games. They finished the season in seventh place.

KFC BBL 2018-19

In the BBL 2018–19, the team added off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman from Afghanistan and Australian quick bowler James Pattinson. The Heat team appeared to rely heavily on its captain Chris Lynn. They only managed to win 6 games out of the 14 league games they played, completed the season in fifth place, and were unable to advance past the quarterfinals.

KFC BBL 2019-20

Since Brendon McCullum retired from cricket, he was no longer accessible to the Brisbane Heat. The Brisbane Heat team only managed to win six of their fourteen league contests, finishing the year in seventh place.

KFC BBL  2020-21

Brisbane Heats finished the trip in Challenger 1, where they were defeated by Perth Scorchers by a score of 49 runs. In that game, the Perth Scorchers made their mark and put an end to the Heats’ journey.

KFC BBL 2021-22

Brisbane Heats could not clear the fence for the Play-Offs in that season. They Lost to Sydney Sixers at the league stage. As Brisbane Heats ended at the 7th spot that season.

KFC BBL 2022-23

Brisbane Heat is at the 5th spot this season and will square off in the play-off with the Sydney Thunder in the Play-off. The Thunders are ahead of 1 points a big win can clear the road to the top 4 spot in the BBL 12. Also, a consistent performance can make them win the title this time but the top spots are tough to contest.
