Rovman Powell smashed a breath taking 28-ball 61 as West Indies defeated Bangladesh by 35 runs in the second game of the 3-match T20I series on Sunday at Windsor Park, in Roseau.
After losing 2 early wickets, the hosts settled down following an impressive show by skipper Pooran and Rovman Powell that help West Indies to put 193 on board in their 20 overs quota.
In reply, Bangladesh looked a bit weaker as apart from the veteran Shakib Al Hasan none of the other batter showed any signs of fighting spirit as a result the visitors lost the game by 35 runs.

Earlier, West Indies witnessed a tough start after losing 2 early wickets of Kyle Mayers and Shamarh Brooks. But Brandon King and the skipper Nicholas Pooran managed to steady their ship. The duo put on 74 runs for the third wicket and a build a good momentum to carry forward by other batters.
Pooran scored a 30-ball 34 before Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, who bowled a wicket-maiden, dismissed the skipper. While Brandon King played a knock of 57 from 43 balls, including seven fours and a six.
Rovman Powell, however, gave the West Indies innings its decisive boost. The right-handed hitter scored the Caribbean team’s joint third-fastest T20I half-century off just 20 balls.
Powell smashed an unbeaten 61 off 28 and made sure that the host team gave Bangladesh a challenging 194-run total to reach.
For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam bagged two wickets. While Mahedi Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mosaddek Hossain took a wicket each.
Rovman Powell was awarded as the man the match to help his side take a 1-0 lead in the series.
Earlier, the first match of the series was called-off due to rain on Saturday.
The third and the decider match of the series will take place on July – at Providence Stadium, Guyana.
After the completion of T20 series, Bangladesh will play a 3-match ODI series against West Indies, starting July 10.
