Women’s Asia Cup 2022: The wait for the squad announcement for the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 is finally over. This is going to the 8th edition of the tournament which will take place in Bangladesh from October 1 and will end on October 15th. The current champions of the cup are Bangladesh.
The seven teams who will compete in the event are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and the UAE. The top 5 teams were automatically qualified for the tournament. UAE and Malaysia qualified after competing in the 2022 ACC Women’s T20 Championship final.
The tournament’s schedule and fixtures are already released. It will begin on October 1st. The finals will be contested on 15th October. The first match of the tournament is between Bangladesh and Thailand.
India Women have a record of six championship victories, and they are the favorites to return as champions this year. Bangladesh is the reigning champion.
