Daniel Sams’ unbeaten and Lewis Gregory’s 35 not out enabled them set a target of 145 for the hosts. Later on, Luke Wood bagged all three of their wickets for them, but the trio’s performances were not enough to hand their team a victory as Phoenix beat Rockets by 7 wickets.

With this win, Birmingham Phoenix now moved up to third place with four wins and a loss. While Trent Rickets slipped to fourth with same stats, and behind Phoenix due low run-rate.
The captain of Birmingham Phoenix was honoured with man of the match award for his excellent performance both with both bat and bowl as apart from scoring a crucial half-century he also took a wicket while bowling.
