Virat Kohli Commented on Suryakumar Yadav’s Century
Former captain Virat Kohli commended Suryakumar Yadav for his effort
Kohli Commented on Suryakumar: One of the numerous admirers left speechless by Suryakumar Yadav’s second T20I century during the second T20I between India vs New Zealand at Mount Manganui was former India captain Virat Kohli. The right-handed batsman destroyed the Kiwis’ bowling for 111 runs off only 51 balls left undefeated.
Despite not traveling with the Hardik Pandya-led Team India for the New Zealand series, Kohli Commented on Suryakumar and lauded his teammate’s performance and referred to it as a “video game innings.” Notably, Suryakumar Yadav entered the game at number 3, which corresponds to Virat Kohli’s place in the Men in Blue batting order.
Virat’s Tweet
Kohli tweeted by saying “Numero Uno showing why he’s the best in the world. Didn’t watch it live but I’m sure this was another video game innings by him.”
Surya’s Reply to Virat’s Tweet
This tweet went so viral that even in the post-match press conference reporters asked him about his thoughts on Virat’s tweet, Surya in reply said “Recently we played together and stitched partnerships as well. I really enjoy batting with him, but we need to run a lot because he is super fit. But at the same time when we bat together, we hardly discuss our game. We respect each other and know how he plays. However, I do tell him one thing you stand firm at one end and I’ll continue to play my shots from the other.”
He concluded by saying “I’ll take it as a compliment and look forward on how to improve further.”
