In this article, we will look at active IPL teams with animal logos.

  1. Chennai Super Kings

The numero uno team of IPL, Chennai Super Kings, features a roaring lion on their logo. CSK under the leadership of the legendary MS Dhoni, won 5 titles, which is joint-best in IPL history.

CSK’s logo has largely remained unchanged since inception. Their logo is powerful and impresses everyone at first place. The crown at the top of their name on CSK’s logo justifies their position in the cash rich league.

Not just the logo, the franchise has also backed their first skipper as well. MS Dhoni, who was elected the captain of Chennai Super Kings in 2008, will continue to lead the side in their 15th season.

  1. Punjab Kings

Another team with a lion on their logo. However, their performance has not matched the power their logo generates.

Punjab Kings, interestingly, were previously known as Kings XI Punjab, which featured two lions on their logo. After a straight 13 disappointed seasons, the franchise took the decision of changing the name and its logo.

The current logo, which is more of like a shield, has a golden lion in the center of the emblem.

The Kings will roar in the 17th season of Indian Premier League under the leadership of experienced Shikhar Dhawan.

  1. Delhi Capitals

Much like Punjab Kings, the Delhi franchise changed their name to Delhi Capitals from Delhi Daredevils and their logo.

However, their fate also remained like Punjab, as even after name change, they are still struggling for their first IPL title.

Delhi Capitals new logo incorporates 3 tigers on their logo, reflecting its significance that the Delhi is the capital of India, and tiger is country’s national animal, making the logo a complete powerhouse of nationalism.

Capitals talisman, Rishabh Pant, who missed last year’s action due to his tragic December 2022 car accident, has gained full fitness, and is back to lead the side this time around.

  1. Royal Challengers Bangalore

The new season comes with a new hope for arguably one of the most loved T20 franchises in the world.

Not only is their team powerful, but so is their logo, which features a lion with a crown. Despite its appealing qualities, the Bangalore side has yet to win a title, having reached the final two times in 16 seasons.

One of India’s most consistent performers, Virat Kohli, is part of the RCB team, while the seasoned Faf du Plessis is ready to lead the star-studded side in IPL 2024, starting March 22.
