Sean Abbott was the leading the Australian Bowling attack, he ended up with 3 wickets and an economy of 6.78 in 9 overs. Apart from him Spencer Johnson, Aaron Hardie, and Nathan Ellis, all of them secured 2 wickets each, as Sri Lanka ended their innings at 214/10 at 46 overs. 

Sri Lanka’s Redemption

Australia’s test brilliance didn’t transfer into the 1st ODI against Sri Lanka, Aussies had a disastrous ending to their innings as they were bundled up under 35 overs. Alex Carey and Aaron Hardie were the only high scorers with 41 and 32 runs respectively.

Sri Lanka’s bowling attack was led by Maheesh Theekshana has accounted for 4 wickets at an economy of 4.07 in 9.5 overs. Australia was bundled up for 165/10, with Sri Lanks defeating Australia in the two-match ODI series, this showcases the issues which Aussies should gain control over as  Champions Trophy approaches rapidly.
