Openers: Rohit Sharma & Yashasvi Jaiswal

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the innings for India. They enjoyed a brilliant run during India’s last home test series early this year versus England.

Both have an aggressive playing style which suits today’s fast-paced cricket and also entertains the fans. The right-hand, left-hand combination further provide Indian team an advantage.

Middle order: Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant

Shubman Gill has proved his worth even at number 3 spot. Despite being playing as an opener in limited overs format and initially in test cricket, he performed exceptionally well batting at number 3 and could cement his place in this place for the foreseeable future.

Virat Kohli is fix at number 4, followed by stylish batter KL Rahul. Rishabh Pant, however, can come in place of Rahul, according to the situation of the game.

Pant has been exceptional in red-ball cricket, and India faced a little struggle when he was not available due to his horrific car accident. But as Pant is all recovered and his comeback is a huge boost for team India in test cricket.

All-rounders: Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin

Team India is reliable on Ravindra Jadeja for quite a time now as an all-rounder, and Jadeja has also delivered whenever his assistance needed the most.

After a star-studded top and middle-order, Jadeja and Ashwin are perfect to play at 7 and 8 positions. Both already crossed the 3000-run mark in test cricket with the bat, and their batting prowess will provide India with a stable combination.

Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj

It will be tough to pick between Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, but as there are already two main spin bowling all-rounders in the eleven, there will be a need for a wrist spinner, which is where Kuldeep comes in.

India’s premium fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, will lead the pace bowling department. While Mohammed Siraj could be included as another pacer.

The first test of the India vs Bangladesh test series will start from September 19. It will be played at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, 9:30 AM IST onwards.
