Delhi Capitals’ openers failed to give their team a flying start as a result they lost the high run chasing game by a huge margin of 91 runs.
Shikhar Bharat got out in the second over, while Delhi Capitals’ last match hero David Warner too was unable to deliver the same magic and returned to the pavilion after scoring just 19 runs in a 200-plus run chase.

While batting first, Chennai Super Kings posted a monstrous score of 208 in their 20 overs run. Both Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway gave CSK a strong start and added 110 runs for the first wicket. Gaikwad played a 41 runs knock before he mistimed the short delivery bowled by Anrich Nortje.
Devon Conway was looking in good touch and was nearing his hundred but he edged Khaleel Ahmed’s ball in the 17th over and was forced to go back to the pavilion at the score of 87 runs.
CSK added 41 runs during the death overs, the main man behind their 10+ run rate in the final overs was MS Dhoni, who smashed 1 four and 2 big six in his small but rocking knock in the final overs. Dhoni scored unbeaten 21 off 8 balls at a strike rate of 262.50.
