IND vs BAN 2nd Test Highlights: Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin starred as India defeated Bangladesh in the second test match by three wicket in Mirpur.
In the first hour of Day 4, Bangladesh was able to take three quick wickets, placing India under tremendous pressure. Nightwatchman Jaydev Unadkat’s dismissal came first, followed by Rishabh Pant’s colossal dismissal.
After taking out Axar Patel, Mehidy Hasan Miraz completed his five-wicket haul. Although Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin steadied the Indian ship, with Iyer initially led the Indian scoring, Ravichandran Ashwin eventually took over and finished unbeaten on 42 as India prevailed by three wickets.

Opting to bat, the home side only manged to put 227 run on board in their first innings as they were unable to tackle the bowling of Indian veterans Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin.
Both experienced campaigners bagged 4-4 wickets each, while returnee in Indian side after 12 years Jaydev Unadkat took 2 wickets.
Mominul Haque was the only batter from Bangladesh to score a half century, as he scored highest runs for his side, 84.
India in reply crossed the 300-run mark and took an 87-run lead, thanks to Rishabh Pant’s 93 and Shreyas Iyer’s 87.
Bangladesh second innings
The key of the game was in hand of Bangladesh, as with a big second inning total they can trap the Indian batters, but their batter again failed to the occasions and only able to post 231 runs.
Zakir Hasan’s 51 and Litton Das’ 73 remained handy in Bangladesh second innings, in which Virat Kohli dropeed 3 catches.
India to chase 145
Team India was in big trouble after Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan respectively took five and two wickets in the 145-run chase. Later, Team India won by three wickets thanks to a brilliant 71-run stand between Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin. In addition to them, Axar Patel added 34 runs.

Ravichandran Ashwin was awarded with the player of the match award for his brilliant all-around show. He took 6 wickets with the ball, and played a match winning knock of unbeaten 42 in the second innings.
While Cheteshwar Pujara received the player of the series award for scoring most runs in the series (222).
No matter the format, Bangladesh is not a wuss, neither at home nor, before India won the final ODI handily, they pretty much destroyed India in the first two games and won the series. Then, defending a total as low as 145 in the second innings, they gave the visitors a serious scare and more questions to be answered. After an engaging Test, an exciting tour comes to an end. India will now play limited overs matches at home against Sri Lanka before hosting Australia for the last leg of their journey to the WTC final.
