With two massive sixes off Renuka Thakur to score 18 runs in the penultimate over, Australia’s captain Meg Lanning (49* off 34) put the finishing touches on the team’s innings. Lanning added a four to it as well. With the ball, Renuka Thakur had a difficult day, finishing with 0 for 41 in 4 overs.
The side got off to a terrific start thanks to Beth Mooney and Alyssa Healy, who won the toss and elected to bat first.
