IND Vs BAN: Will Pant replace Karthik against BAN?
After losing an important match against South Africa on Sunday, fans and experts are continuously asking about Rishabh Pant’s inclusion in the side, as Dinesh Karthik, who played 3 games in place of him was seen in clueless manner in all of the matches.
The 37-year-old, however suffered with an injury during the Proteas clash and if he won’t manage to attain the full fitness before Wednesday, then Rishabh Pant will automatically play against the crucial match against Bangladesh.
He left the field at the end of 15th over. And Rishabh Pant kept the wickets in place of him for the final five overs.
Karthik, who got the chance to wear Indian jersey again after a long time in T20 World Cup now in doubt to be a part of in India’s upcoming game due to back injury.
Karthik’s performance so far

What Rahul Dravid said about Karthik’s injury
Team India head coach Rahul Dravid provided an update about Karthik’s recovery while speaking to reporters during the pre-match press conference, “Yeah, he’s pulled up pretty well today. It was unfortunate had that spasm when he jumped to collect a bouncer. I think when he landed badly. He landed in a way that I think he just hurt his back a little bit. But with treatment and with the day. This morning he’s pulled up pretty well. He’s come to training. So we’ll be assessing it,” Dravid told reporters.
Considering the important match, the head coach confirmed that they will take a call on Karthik tomorrow.
“We’ll see how it goes, and we’ll see how he pulls up tomorrow morning after a good practice session today. We’ll put him through his paces and ensure that we’ve given him a good workout. And then see how he pulls up tomorrow morning before making a final decision,” Dravid added.
With 4 points in 3 games, the men in blue will now face the men in green (Bangladesh) in the crucial Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday.
