IND vs AUS T20I series: Aaron Finch-led side will land in India on Wednesday for a three-match T20I series, starting September 20.
India last faced Australia in a T20I series in December 2020, which India won by 2-1. This series is considered as important as it will set the tone for the team to prepare themselves for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia next month.
India and Australia have played 22 T20I games against each other. Australia has won 9 games, while India has won 13 games. Both teams have played seven games while competing in India. Australia has won 3 games, whereas India has won 4 games.
The first match of the T20I series between India and Australia will be played at Mohali on September 20, while the second game will take place at Nagpur on September 23 and the 3rd T20I will be played at Hyderabad on September 25.
Following their T20I contest against Australia, India will play a T20I and ODI series against South Africa. The three-game India versus South Africa T20I series is set to begin on September 28 and conclude on October 4.
The three games in the ODI series are scheduled to take place from October 6 to October 11.
India’s preparation for the T20 World Cup will depend greatly on how these T20 International series go.
With Cricket Australia (CA) had previously released their team last week, the BCCI unveiled the India team on Monday.
