Rahul Dravid Fail’s yet again in World Cup 2023 Final

Rahul Dravid, who stunned the biggest bowlers in front of his defence, who made the whole country believe that this wall would not be broken whenever he was on crease, has once showed his class but with a different role this time as a Head Coach.

Dravid was the head coach of India, who made it to the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup, he also was there during the WTC 2023 final, and was also part of World Cup 2023 final loss. India, however, lost all games at crucial stages in different tournaments, and his presence as a coach raises a lot of questions.

India was well ready for the World Cup with their aggressive approach, Dravid has given the free hand to skipper Rohit Sharma to set the stage for the remaining batters, and that exactly what the skipper did in the whole tournament and went on to smash 597 runs at a strike rate of 125.95.  

There was a lot of talks about the number 4, as Shreyas was not fully fit before the World Cup and was not playing competitive cricket for past 6 months. But the coach gave him the much-needed confidence, and as a result the Iyer holds that position so gracefully and provided India what they demanded from him.  

Kl Rahul, Suryakumar, Ravindra Jadeja also played their parts quite well. While no one can ignore the brilliance of Indian fast bowler trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj, who collectively taken 58 wickets in 11 games.

Last year, the selection of a new team and captain in the almost every series for nearly a year was surprising everyone, but Dravid had a masterplan in his mind, he was not thinking only about this World Cup, because 15 players of this World Cup were was in his mind already, he wanted to build a better team for the future. But after the loss in the 2023 ODI World Cup final his position as a head coach in doubt.
