After the ongoing white-ball series against West Indies, team India will fly to Zimbabwe for 3-match ODI series, starting on August 18, for which selectors want Virat Kohli to be part of it.
The ex-skipper of team India is currently struggling with his form as in the recently concluded England series, Kohli only managed to score 12 runs in 2 T20Is and 33 in 2 ODIs.

And according to the media reports, selectors and veterans of the game want Virat to play in the series against Zimbabwe to regain his form.
Virat Kohli is currently on rest mode as he choosed rest over playing series against West Indies after having a dry run during the England tour. But couple of days ago he expressed his desire to be back for India for the Asia Cup 2022 that starts in UAE late August.

The former no.1 batter in all three formats, has been criticized for a long time now for his inconsistency and a 3-year long century drought.
He scored his last century in November 2019, but he was unable to hit a single ton during his last 78 international innings.
And with 2 big tournaments lined up in the coming months (Asia Cup 2022 in August and ICC T20 World Cup in October) it is crucial for not Virat Kohli but also for team India if he will regain his form before the important events.
Right now, team India playing a 3-match ODI series against West Indies under Shikhar Dhawan and it is likely that the same team with the inclusion of Virat Kohli will fly to Zimbabwe.
The ODI series between India and Zimbabwe will kick start on August 18, with second and third ODIs to be played on August 20 and 22 respectively. All three one-day game to be held at Harare Sports Club.
