BCCI has announced team India squad for the New Zealand tour, starting November 18. In addition, they have also announced the squad for the ODI and test series against Bangladesh. Let us Here Look at India squad for New Zealand and Bangladesh series.
India will travel to New Zealand right after their World Cup campaign. The final of the 8th of T20 World Cup will take place of November 13.
Given Indian side already won 2 out of their 3 games, and they will most likely to reach the semis, India will be there till at least 9 or 10, November, and if they managed to win semis too, then they will play the finals on November 13.
Considering the work load of top players, the selectors have decided to give rest to regular skipper Rohit Sharma, Vice-captain KL Rahul and star batter Virat Kohli.
Hardik Pandya to captain team India
Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the skipper for the T20 series against New Zealand in the absence of Rohit and Rahul. While Shikhar Dhawan will lead the side in ODIs against New Zealand.
Shubman Gill has been selected for the T20 side. While Ishan Kishan, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Umran Malik also back in India T20’s squad.
Sanju Samson will be the other keeper alongside Rishabh Pant. Kuldeep Sen is selected to be a part of team for ODI series against New Zealand alongside regular bowlers, Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar, while Umran Malik also make it into the ODI squad as well.
The tour to New Zealand will start with 3 T20Is. The first match of the series will take place on November 18 at the Sky Stadium in wellington. The second match at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui On November 20. While both teams will play the final T20 at McLean Park in Napier on November 22.
The top sides then lock horns in three-match ODI series, which will take place on November 25, 27 and 30.
Team India will then travel to Bangladesh for 3 ODIs and 2 Tests.
Rohit, Rahul and Virat will be back for the Bangladesh series, and the full strength Indian team will play the test series against Bangladesh, considering World Test Championship in mind.
