Afghanistan finish their innings with a decent total of 272/8 in 50 overs, huge thanks to their skipper and Omarzai who provided a valubale fourth wicket 100 run partnership.
Indian bowlers Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur provided two quick wickets which left Afghanistan at 63/3 in 13 overs. But the skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai both switched a beautiful cam and composed a partnership of 121 runs which gave Afghanistan a decent comeback into the game.

Afghanistan was in deep trouble after losing three wickets and things seemed like the game was going in India’s favour. While the Afghan skipper Shahidi had different plans. Along with Omarzai, both formed a beautiful partnership and it was the skipper who led the team from the front.

But in the 34th over the vice-captain of the Indian team, Hardik Pandya provided the much-needed breakthrough. This moment gave Indians the must needed spirit. From there on it was just a matter of time before the wicket started tumbling and Afghanistan once again found itself in trouble.

Hardik Pandya fished his spell with two wickets in 7 overs and conceded 43 runs. Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav both picked up one wicket each. While it was Jasprit Bumrah who is the standout bowler for India as he gave away just 39 runs along with four wickets in his 10 overs spell.
