ILT20: The inaugural season of the UAE’s brand-new T20 competition, International League T20, popularly known as ILT20, is set to begin on January 13, 2023, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
A double round-robin will pit six franchise teams against one another, followed by play-offs on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of February. The ILT20 2023’s final game will be in Dubai Stadium on February 12th, 2023.
Lancer Capitals, Adani Group, Reliance Industries, Knight Riders Group, and other franchise owners from the Indian Premier League (IPL) are the teams’ owners. The owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, and Delhi Capitals, three of the original IPL franchises, are also eligible to recruit up to four players from their current IPL teams.
ILT20 Rules and Format
In the ILT20, each team is permitted to sign nine foreign players out of a total of 11. Two spaces are set up for UAE players.
In the eagerly awaited first season of UAE T20, six teams will participate. Every club will play every other team twice before moving on to the four playoff matches. The season consists of 34 games. Global cricket fans are anticipating the pairing of their favorite international player with some up-and-coming talents.
