Finch lost his form in Tests
Australian prominent batsman Aaron Finch has opened up about his struggle against Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling. In a documentary titled Test, which will be streamed on Amazon Prime, he recalled how the Indian pacer troubled him during the Test series played in 2018-19.
Finch who made a decent Test debut in 2018 in Dubai against Pakistan scored a half-century in the match. But his form gradually dropped after that.
However, his worst fears came true when he played against India which toured Australia in 2018-19. Especially Bumrah rattled the batsman. He could not deal with the ball coming from the Indian bowler and look vulnerable.
Bumrah got him out twice during his 6 innings before he was finally dropped from the test series for the dismal performance. After that, he did not play any Test match until now and he might not play any games again.
His struggles in Tests took a troll on him in ODIs and T20s as well, where he played poorly. But he recovered his form by the 2019 world cup.
Bumrah worried Finch
Speaking about the worries caused by Bumrah, Finch said he would get up suddenly in the middle of the night thinking he would get out by the bowler again.
Bumrah who was in incredible form in that series created problems not only to Aaron Finch but also to other players. He took the highest number of wickets in the series and played a key role in winning the series 2-1. It was the first Test series win for India on Australian soil.
Finch is one of the top batsmen of Australia in ODIs and T20s. He leads the Australian side in One Day.
