TBZ VS VLC Live Match Updates: 1st Innings 10 Overs Update
Star opener Smriti Mandhana and Meghana opened the batting for Trailblazers. Meghana started off her innings with some fiery shots in the first over. Soon after, Mandhana lost her wicket to Cross in the third over which brought Jemimah Rodriques to the middle. From there on, Meghana and Jemimah carried the innings swiftly in their favor as they went on to hit 47 runs off the first six overs. The power play restrictions saw/didn’t help the scoreboard ticking. No bowlers apart from Cross could trouble the TBZ batters.
Sneh Rana bowled the 6th over of the innings and kept things tight, conceding just 6 runs from the over. We saw boundaries coming in almost all the overs. Rana continued the spell and bowled the 8th over, continuing the momentum, getting hit for 8 runs from the over.
The 9th over was a big one as 15 runs came off it which was bowled by Radha Yadav, who lost the momentum. Khaka bowled the 10th over of the innings, conceding just 7 runs from it.
Even after losing an early wicket, the Trailblazers are in a good position as they move on to win the game with a big margin to qualify for the finals. Even though Velocity just needs a win to reach the finals, they must ensure they don’t let TBZ score many runs that are tougher to chase and should on to take as many wickets as they can.
The run rate at the end of 10 overs is 8.60. The projected score at this rate at the end of the innings is 170 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues 34 (24) and Sabbhineni Meghana 50 (32) are at the crease now.
