Team Pakistan continued their winning run in the marquee event by defeating the South African side. By 33 runs in the 36TH match of the ICC T20 World Cup at Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday.

They were to defend 73from 30 deliveries then bowlers maintained the momentum by restricting the Proteas to 108 for 9 wickets.
Iftikhar Ahmed’s 51 runs and Shadab khan with 52 runs starred Pakistan in the first innings, Also Nawaz and Haris played a good knock of 28 runs each. To make the score 185 in the 20 overs. The top batters could not make the power play overs worthwhile playing on Sydney Cricket Ground.

South Africa to Chase 142 in 14 Overs
As the match was resumed by the DLS method the target was cut short to 142 in 14 overs because rain stopped the play.
Pakistan’s Key bowler, Shaeen Afridi started the proceedings for Pakistan’s side. Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets playing against South Africa.
From the other end,
Shadab khan took the stage and after a good knock of 20 runs, he dismissed A Markram his job and gave momentum to the team and a good start which was needed by the Proteas.
Later in the innings, No Proteas batters stayed long on the pitch Tristan Stubbs tried to hit some runs. Also, took some charge to defend the score he managed to score 20 runs in 14 balls was an attacking inning from his side making it the Pakistan bowlers under pressure.
A complete performance by Pakistan! It was Shaheen Afridi who set the tone for Pakistan with two wickets in his first two overs. Just when a partnership was blossoming. Shadab Khan removed both set batters in the eighth over just before the rain intervened. With 73 needed off the final five overs, Pakistan held their nerves and successfully defended the total.
South Africa required to smash sixes on every ball to clinch the win. The road was looking impossible to complete on time for them and Pakistan Bowlers made it impossible for them in the last over.
South Africa could not play the full 20 overs quota, as the Rain disturbed the game which restricted them to play full game. With 14 overs and target of 142 runs. Therefore,Pakistan won the match by 33 runs under the DLS method.
