Mohammad Rizwan was born in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 1 June 1992. Rizwan is a right-hand Pakistani wicketkeeper batter who plays for the nation in all three formats of cricket. He has been a consistent part of the Pakistan squad for the past 5-6 years. Rizwan is known for his acrobatic Wicket keeping skills. Mohammad Rizwan is the only player in the world who has scored more than 2000 runs in a Calendar year in T20s in 2021 and was selected as ICC T20I Men’s Cricketer of the year. Mohammad Rizwan is the vice-captain of Test team Pakistan. He plays for Lahore in the domestic circuit of Pakistan and also led his team Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League in the previous season.

Mohammad Rizwan started off playing cricket at the age of 7 years. He used to play gully cricket and then joined the club to develop his cricket skills. Mohammad Rizwan made his name in the streets of Peshawar by playing in many local tournaments. Back in 2014-15, Mohammad Rizwan was used to playing for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and he played for them in many seasons of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Mohammad Rizwan led his team in 2014 from the front and smashed 224 runs in the finals of the tournament helping his team in lifting the title for the second time in the tournament history.

Mohammad Rizwan has been a consistent member of the Peshawar squad since 2008 in the domestic circuit of Pakistan.
Mohammad Rizwan has played 102 first-class matches and has scored 5535 runs including 12 centuries and 28 half centuries. He has also taken 285 catches and 17 stumpings.
In April 2018, Mohammad Rizwan was appointed as the captain of the Punjab team in the Pakistan Cup and smashed his highest List A score in the 2nd match of the season. Mohammad Rizwan smashed 140 runs in just 103 balls.
In 2019, Mohammad Rizwan was appointed as the captain of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Quaid-e-Azam tournament. He smashed 215 runs in the season and was named as the Player of the tournament.

Mohammad Rizwan made his International debut in a match against Bangladesh on 17 April 2015. He scored 67 runs in the debut ODI.
Later, after his consistent performances, he was also picked in the T20I squad for the series against Bangladesh.
In November 2016, Mohammad Rizwan made his Test debut in the series against New Zealand. However, his debut didn’t go down well for him, and got out on the first ball of his innings.
4 years after making his debut in International cricket, Mohammad Rizwan smashed his maiden ODI century in 2019 in a match against Australia.
In 2020, Mohammad Rizwan was picked up in the test squad for the test series in England and he smashed 2 half-centuries on the tour and also performed well with the gloves. Mohammad Rizwan was also named the Player of the series from Pakistan’s side.
Later in December, Mohammad Rizwan was appointed as the captain for the test match against New Zealand in absence of Babar Azam.
In 2021, Mohammad Rizwan smashed his maiden Test century against South Africa and also smashed his maiden T20I century on the same tour. Mohammad Rizwan became the first Pakistani wicketkeeper batter to smash a century in T20I cricket.
In 2021, Mohammad Rizwan smashed over 2000 runs in T20 cricket and became the first player ever to score more than 2000 runs in a calendar year in the shortest format of the game.
