Team India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a fracture. He did not travel with the team to Thiruvananthapuram, for the first T20I between India and South Africa. Bumrah is ruled out of the series.

Bumrah is not in India’s team for the first T20 International for South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram. He was ruled out by the Indian cricket board after complaining of back pain.

The was quite ordinary, and it appeared that something was wrong with his fitness. Also he was not bowling to the best of his abilities. He bowled 2 overs for 23 runs and 1 wicket in the second T20I against Australia, while allowing 50 runs in 4 overs in the third and final T20I in Hyderabad and not looking like the Bumrah everyone knows.
India and South Africa played three test matches and three one-day internationals. South Africa then completed a 5-T20 match tour in India in June 2022. Now in August 2022, South Africa comes to India to play the T20 and ODI series against India. It will be the 3rd time when India plays against South Africa in 2022.
