Michael Vaughan Praises KL Rahul
Former England captain Michael Vaughan praises KL Rahul after judging his impeccable form across all formats.
Vaughan on Sunday took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Kids. Just try and copy KL Rahul’s bat. A game that can flow across all formats.. a delight to watch!” Michael Vaughan tweeted
His tweet came at the time when the captain of Lucknow Super Giants was batting with so ease as always and scored a half-century against Delhi Capitals in the 45th match of IPL 2022.
After losing his partner Quinton de Kock in the power play, Rahul once again did what he does the best. He handled the situation and did 95 runs in partnership with Deepak Hooda to help his team reach a good total.
With a brilliant knock of 77 runs, Rahul also crossed the 400 runs mark in the 15th edition of the Indian premier league and is currently second in the orange cap race with 461 runs in nine games. He smashed 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries so far.
Rahul’s excellent form was demonstrated by the fact that he became the fastest Indian in IPL history to complete 150 sixes in only 95 matches.
Vaughan was very impressed with his batting techniques as he suggested that the kids observe KL Rahul’s bat and emulate his technique in all three formats of the game.
This marks the fifth consecutive IPL season where Rahul crossed the 400 runs-mark. Rahul scored 659 points in 14 matches in 2018, with the highest score of 95*. In 2019, 2020, and 2021, he continued to score 593, 670, and 626 respectively.
KL Rahul has also cemented his place in the Indian cricket team across all three formats with his consistent play.
He is the quickest Indian to reach 6000 runs in T20 innings, having done so in just 179 innings.
