Kusal Mendis Drop Catch of Axar Patel
IND vs SL 2nd T20I: Axar Patel came on to bat when 57/5 in the 9.1 over of the innings and in the last ball of the same over he was dropped by Kusal Mendis. The wicketkeeper missed capitalizing on the catch. This drop catch will surely haunt Kusal Mendis for the rest of his life as Axer Patel when on to score 50 runs from 20 balls.
The 14th over was almost turning out to be the game-changing over where Axar leashed on to Wanindu Hasaranga as he hit a hat trick of sixes and Suryakumar Yadav also jumped in and hit a six making it the most over of Wanindu Hasaranga’s career (26 runs).
Axar Patel coming in at no 6, he almost played a match winnings innings as he scored the fastest Half-Century in his T20I career 50 runs of 20 balls. Axar however couldn’t finish the match as he was dismissed by the Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka for 65 off 31 runs.
IND vs SL: Mr 360 Suryakumar Yadav is back in action
Suryakumar Yadav played a magnificent inning but couldn’t stay in the crease for a long time, as he scored 51 of 36 balls. Surya after failing to get going in the first T20I. He came to the party when India needed the most. Surya as usually played shots around the park and made sure that India came back into the match. After India lost half of their side inside 10 overs.

After the wicket of Surya, the match was back to Sri Lanka’s rhythm. And from then on India struggled to keep going. It certainly seemed like India was on 5 gear when both Axar and Surya were batting but after the wicket of Surya India was down to 3 gear.
Shivam Mavi suddenly came into the party on the 18th over. When he scored 16 runs in the last three balls of the 18th over. But all the action from Surya, Mavi and Axer were not enough for India to get over the target of 206 inside 20 overs.
