India vs Bangladesh First ODI Match Highlights
IND vs BAN: Unexpected Indian Bowling & unexpected Shakib’s performance was outstanding. Bangladesh beat India by 1 wicket.
IND vs BAN Match Highlights:What a thrilling game. Bangladesh played dreadful cricket in the middle overs, which should not have put India in a good position for the total they produced. Then, under the leadership of Mehidy, they mounted a massive comeback in the end, shocking the Indians with an unbroken 51-run last-wicket stand.
What a day for Bangladesh this afternoon. The top three were promptly eliminated by the spinners when Bangladesh won the toss and asked India to bat. On this pitch, Ebadot exploited pace and bounce to join Shakib’s team, and the two shared 9 wickets.
Indian hitters lacked any knowledge. They were obviously worried about the arm ball in their minds. He got five of them with the ball pitching nearly in the same location, while some played within the line and others outside.
IND vs BAN: What Went Wrong for India
Shreyas got his eye in but was bounced out, and there were two out to reverse sweeps and many soft dismissals as well. India’s shot selection was poor was also the reason.
KL fought alone (73), holding one end and then accelerating afterwards to give some credibility. Washi was poised, but he threw it away. Bangladesh now holds an advantage, although this pitch has lateral movement and bounce.
Now, it takes considerable skill to get five batters from essentially the same area. It was expected that Shakib would have the best ODI performance by a left-arm spinner today against India.
IND vs BAN: Bangladesh Bowlers Early on in the Innings
The former captain of Bangladesh twice grabbed two wickets in a single over against India at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka. In his first over, he struck out Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The subsequent dismissal of Washington Sundar gave him his third wicket.
In his seventh over, Shakib added two more dismissals to increase his total to five, including those of Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur. Shakib concluded his ten overs of bowling with five for 36. Ebadot Hossain, on the other side, took four wickets while giving up 47 runs in 8.2 overs.

After the match he stated “Very happy. I was very nervous sitting in the dressing room. I enjoyed Mehidy’s batting in the last 6-7 overs. Siraj and Shardul bowled very well in the middle overs and shifted the momentum towards their side.”
“When me and Shakib were batting we thought we could chase this easily, but it got difficult after we both got out and India bowled really well. Outstanding innings from Mehidy.”
