Imam-Ul-Haq was born in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan on 22 December 1995. Imam-Ul-Haq is a Pakistani left-hand batter who has been a part of Pakistan squad from past 3-4 years and has is seen as the future of Pakistan cricket. He is one the most promising youngster in the Pakistan team. Imam-Ul-Haq made his debut back in 2017 in the ODIs and smashed his maiden century on the debut. Since then, he has been a consistent member of the squad. With his remarkable performances in first few matches, he was awarded with the national contract in 2018 by Pakistan Cricket Board.

Imam-Ul-Haq started off his domestic career back in 2012, when he was picked In the squad of Lahore Shalimar and played for 2 seasons. He ended up as the highest run-scorer for the team.

In 2014-15, Imam-Ul-Haq started playing for Khan Research Laboratories till 2017.

Imam-Ul-Haq was then roped in by Peshawar Zalmi for the 2019 PSL season. He did well in the season and then was retained by the franchise for the next season. Imam-Ul-Haq has been with Peshawar Zalmi since then.

Imam-Ul-Haq was picked up in the squad of Pakistan for the series against Ireland and England in 2018. Imam-Ul-Haq made his Test debut on the same tour against Ireland and smashed his maiden Test half century on the debut. His innings helped his team in winning the match and was awarded with Player of the Match award for the decisive innings.

In July 2018, Imam-Ul-Haq made a partnership of 304 runs for the opening wicket and helped Pakistan in scoring their highest ever ODI score. Pakistan scored 399 runs in the match and the partnership of 304 runs for opening stand was the highest partnership ever in the history of One day Internationals.

In 2019, Imam-Ul-Haq scored his 1000th run in the ODI and became 2nd fastest player in the world to score 1000 runs. Imam-Ul-Haq just took 19 innings to reach to the target.

Imam-Ul-Haq was also picked up in the squad of Pakistan for the World Cup. However, World Cup didn’t go down so well for Imam-Ul-Haq as well as for Pakistan.

In the ODI series against England after the World cup, Imam-Ul-Haq smashed 151 runs which was the highest individual score against England in ODIs by a Pakistani batter.

Imam-Ul-Haq was also picked up in the ODI squad for the series against England in 2020 and scored his 2000th run in the series.

Imam-Ul-Haq smashed his maiden Test century in the test against Australia in March, 2022. Imam-Ul-Haq scored centuries in both the innings of the test and helped his team in securing the test from lost position.
