After Mumbai Indians shared a picture of Arjun Tendulkar on their official Instagram account, it created a buzz and ignited speculations that Tendulkar Junior might be ready to make his debut now. The picture was posted a day before Mumbai Indian’s match with Lucknow Super Giants. The caption provided on the picture was surely addressed to Fabian Allen and not to Arjun. In spite of this, Arjun is creating the buzz to earn his first IPL cap Tendulkar is a left-arm seam-bowler and an all-rounder. Arjun Tendulkar uproots stumps of IPL expensive player.
Mumbai Indians posted a video of Arjun’s lightning bolt on YouTube with an intriguing caption. The video’s comment section was inundated with fans requesting that Arjun should soon be included in the playing XI of the team. Arjun, who has been a member of the MI team as a net bowler for the past few years, was picked up in the IPL 2021 public sale by team Mumbai who has been the five times winner of the IPL trophy. The left-handed player was not included in the final edition but was purchased for $30 lakh at a massive public sale this year.
MI has had no victories in the first six games that they have played therefore, it would be a good idea for the Mumbai team to bring in someone as fresh as Arjun, who can be a wow factor on their bowling side. So far, apart from Jasprit Bumrah, none of the other Indian bowlers have made an impression in the minds of the public this season.
Mumbai Indians, under the captainship of Rohit Sharma, will be standing against Chennai Super Kings, led by Ravindra Jadeja, who are fighting to stay in the league. CSK, on the other hand, hasn’t fared any better. They have only won one of their six games and are barely a rung above Mumbai Indians in the points chart.
Arjun Tendulkar made his T20 debut in the January of the year 2021 for Mumbai against Haryana. He played against Sri Lanka in 2018 and debuted for the under 19 Indian Cricket team. Tendulkar was purchased by the Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction in February 2021, before the commencement of the 2021 Indian Premier League.
He then was named to Mumbai’s senior team for the first time in September 2021. He was included in Mumbai’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy team of 22 players. However, owing to injury, he was forced to withdraw from the 2021 IPL. This year, in February, he was again bought by the Mumbai Indians, this time in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.
