New UAE T20 league, attentively known as ‘International league T20, is all set to give the star players a whopping $450,000 per season, making the new event the second most lucrative T20 league for some players after the popular Indian premier league (IPL).
As per ESPNcricinfo, the International league will most likely have a salary cap of $2.5 million per team. The recent developments around the events indicated that the new league will take place from January 6 to February 23 in 2023.
The league will most probably be called ‘The Internal League’, where players from all around will take part. It will be a six-team franchise format which will be played over a 34-match schedule.
The new event will also provide a great platform for Emirates Cricket to bring in new talent and groom them to become the future stars of world cricket.

Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Chairman, Selection Committee – Emirates Cricket Board, said: “The annual ILT20 event presents an excellent exposure for our players given the highly intense and competitive nature of the league. Each of the six teams in the 34-match tournament provides a wonderful opportunity for our young cricketers to play competitive cricket with world-class players.”
