IPL vs PSL 2025, The Pakistan Super League is likely to be played in a similar timeframe as Indian Premier League (IPL).  

Pakistan has the hosting rights for the next mega ICC event, ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will tentatively held from February 19 to March 9. While team Pakistan also expected to visit West Indies next year, a possible reason behind the postponement rumors of the Pakistan’s league.

PSL originally staged during February and March every year, while IPL mostly played between last week of March to May. However, the dates shift of PSL might clash with IPL 2025.  

If PSL and IPL schedule clashed with each other in 2025, then many of the overseas players can be seen choosing to play in the Indian Premier league due to high pay they receive in the IPL.  

The Indian Premier League 2024 was conducted from March 22 to May 26, and most of the top players from major teams all around world participated in it, similarly as every year.

IPL is one of the most viewed sport leagues in India and across the world, and with the mega auction ahead of the next season, promise somewhat different teams, the league will grab more attention from viewers.  

Pakistan domestic players receive salary hike

In a significant move to reward top-performing players, the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) has increased the salary of Pakistan’s domestic players which will impact 150 players including the centrally contracted players.

According to the newly upgraded earning structure set by PCB, as many as 150 players can earn more salaries across different categories.  

40 Players in Category 1 will earn PKR 550,000 per month, 50 Category will receive PKR 400,000, and 60 players part of Category 3 will receive PKR 250,000.  

That means a player can earn the highest amount of approximately 20 Lakh INR per year.  

It’s a massive rise compared to the previous season’s domestic earnings, which ranged from PKR 50,000 to PKR 300,000.
