On Wednesday, Bollywood and India lost a very talented artist Irrfan Khan after taking a final breath at Mumbai. He has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and is under observation for colon infection. However, his health deteriorated and finally died on the morning of April 29. Soon after the news of his death, the actor and his family started to mourn in social media.
The cricket fraternity also praised Irrfan for his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema. After his death, many Indian cricketers, including Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Sachin Tendulkar, and Anil Kumble, paid tribute to him.
Like many cricketers, Irfan Pathan expressed his sadness that, regrettably, Irrfan Khan died and showed a special relationship with him. Baroda cricketer Irfan recalled how many people wrongly labeled him in praise of the magnificent work done in many films.
“People used to tag me regularly for his outstanding work in Indian cinema instead of #irrfankhan. That’s kind of my connection to him, even without meeting him. Unhappy with his death, “wrote Irfan in his tweet.
Here’s his tweet:
Irrfan Khan wanted to become a cricketer
Irrfan Khan will always be remembered for his outstanding work in Indian cinema, but few people know he wanted to be a cricketer. He liked to play cricket and wanted to play for India, instead of going to school. Irrfan is almost thought to have been selected for the Naidu CK trophy, but due to his family responsibilities, he forfeited his dream.
But he remained for the rest of his life an avid cricket fan and also took part in a test match between Pakistan and England in 2018 at Lord’s. He was then treated for neuroendocrine tumors in London. He also worked on a movie called the Angrezi Medium after surviving a life-threatening disease, which was eventually his final film.
