Former Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has declined to participate in a one-day, yet-to-be-named domestic three-team competition which is scheduled to start on 11 October. At the end of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe at home, Mashrafe stepped down from the leadership role, taking the decision as the Bangladesh Cricket Board declared the series to be its last as the leader of Bangladesh, after which he would have to prove his form and fitness to be considered for selection.
