New Zealand ‘s new permanent skipper, Sophie Devine, sees the two-week mandatory quarantine on reaching Australia for the limited-overs series as a blessing for the squad that has been kept indoors since March. Devine said that not only will the two weeks help the White Ferns to acclimatise better, but also to get back together as a group before they resume international cricket. “It’s one of the silver linings of this trip,” Devine told NZC before the New Zealand team left for Australia.
