Next week, Callum Ferguson will play his last first-class match for South Australia, calling time for a career of 16 years. He, however, will continue in the Big Bash League to captain Sydney Thunder and remains willing to continue playing one-day cricket for South Australia. Ferguson will end with 147 first-class games with one game to go, including his solo Test appearance for Australia in 2016. At present, he has 9,278 first-class runs, including 20 hundreds and 48 fifties, at an average of 36.81.
