Stuart Broad claimed that he was considering retiring after being left out of England’s side last month for the first West Indies test. Broad was the leading wicket-taker for the series and was instrumental in winning the series 2-1 in both England ‘s victories when he returned for the second and third tests. Broad also became only the seventh man in history to take 500 Test wickets in the process. “Were there thoughts of retirement going round my head? One hundred per cent,” Broad told a leading media house.
