Alastair Cook became the first and only England batsman to cross the 10,000-run mark in Tests with a flick off Nuwan Pradeep. At 31 years and 157 days Cook pulled up the feat – the youngest batsman to become a member of the 10,000 club. In 2012-2013 England won a test series in India under his leadership-the team’s first series win on Indian soil in 28 years.
