Australian one-day captain Aaron Finch was harshly axed from his Indian Premier League side on Wednesday evening after a lean patch with the bat. Finch, representing the Royal Challengers Bangalore, only passed 20 three times during the T20 tournament in 11 innings. At 21.45 to date, the 33-year-old has scored 236 runs, with a poor strike rate of 111.84. Finch was excluded from the starting XI before the Bangalore clash with the Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi and replaced by Josh Phillippe, an Australian young gun.
