Major League Cricket is the latest league in the highly competitive cricketing world, with the goal of expanding the sport’s fan base in the United States. The inaugural season will run from June 13 to 30.
The competition will include six teams in total, with four of the six teams being franchise owners from the Indian Premier League. MLC 2023 will be held in two locations. Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street Park, North Carolina are the two sites.
Over the course of the tournament’s 18 days (about 2 and a half weeks), the six teams will play a total of 19 matches.

Ambati Rayudu, one of the biggest Indian names in the inaugural season of the MLC, has been withdrawn from the league and will not play for the Texas Super Kings.
Rayudu became eligible to play in overseas tournaments after announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket following the IPL final against Gujarat Titans. A few days after the final, the 37-year-old revealed his intention to join CSK’s American affiliate, the Texas Super Kings.

Former India cricketer Ambati Rayudu withdrew his name from the inaugural season of Major League Cricket in the United States just hours before the announcement.

There will as many as twelve cricketers from South Africa, eleven from Australia, ten from New Zealand, six from the West Indies, three from Afghanistan, while India, Pakistan, West Indies, England, Namibia and Zimbabwe also having their players in the competition.
