Perth Scorchers extended their dominance by defeating Sydney Sixers by 5-wickets in just 19 overs. Despite winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Sixers failed to post a massive total for the table toppers. The Scorchers bowlers did an excellent job on restricting the Sixers batters, and it was up to their batsmen to execute their tactics on the run chase, which they also accomplished. Ashton Turner 69 (41) and Aaron Hardie 35 (31), were the Scorchers’ standout batsmen, who punished the balls pitched inside their yard.
Ben Dwarshuis, with a couple of wickets, and Jackson Bird, Hayden Kerr, Shadab Khan, each with one wicket, did their utmost for Sydney Sixers to seize control of the game, however, relentless Scorchers secured the win.
