The Sydney Thunder have made a flying start to their innings to chase the objective set by the Perth Scorchers. Thunders’ dropped the opening batsman Matthew Gilkes (32 off 23), who built a solid platform for the following batsman. However, Thunder were on track to secure the win as their batsmen Alex Hales and Jason Sangha, collaborate together to establish a key wicket-to-wicket partnership. Meanwhile, Andrew Tye initiates an attempt to split the partnership upon bagging Alex Hales 26 off 32. Despite losing the wickets at regular intervals, some surprising knocks from the incoming batsman helped Thunder to secure the win.
On the other extreme, it will be pretty noteworthy as the Sydney Thunder were the only exceptional team to defeat the Scorchers for 2nd time in the ongoing BBL season.
