If changes are made it means selectors failed to do their jobs properly: Rashid Latif
Addressing Pakistan, they got a lot of criticism after naming their team and are likely prepared to make alterations. The ICC has allowed all nations till October 10 to make changes to their finalized lineups. Latif, on the other hand, had suggested that if Pakistan has to modify its 15-member team, chief selector Mohammad Wasim should quit because he underperformed at his position in the first place.
“Now if they go ahead and make changes in the main 15-member squad then the chief selector must ethically resign and so should the other selectors. Because they are responsible for selecting the squad and if changes are made it means they failed to do their jobs properly the first time around,” said Latif earlier.
Pakistan’s finalized team received intense criticism for failing to include experienced hitters like Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and opening batsman Fakhar Zaman (reserves). Pakistan will face India in their first encounter on 24th October at Dubai International Stadium, led by Babar Azam.
