The Sydney Thunder appeared to be the squad who stormed with great intensity to register a 34-run win against the Perth Scorchers. They emerged to be a significant force with both their batting and bowling sections, and as a result, Thunder became the first team to thrash the Scorchers, who were leading the current BBL rankings, on a high note.

With their formidable squad, the Scorchers were unbeaten till now. As they tried to display their best to win this match but struggled to find the previous rhythm to restrict Thunder’s bowling and batting divisions.

Colin Munro 64* off 43 and Andrew Tye 44 off 25 were only the batters for Scorchers to keep the hopes alive to some extent, but their efforts couldn’t secure a win for them.
