South Africa is all set to play a three-match ODI series against the Netherlands between November 26 – December 3. Cricket South Africa has officially announced a 16-member squad for the series and Keshav Maharaj will be leading the side.
Picking K Maharaj was a bit controversial because CSA has chosen to leave the experienced David Miller aside despite him being a part of the squad. And many questions were raised on the released squad because big names like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Quinton De Kock, and Temba bavuma are missing from the list.
South Africa vs Netherlands ODI series will start on November 26 and the 2nd ODI is scheduled for November 28 with the final match to be held on December 1. All three matches will be played at the Centurion
CSA’s convener of selectors Victor Mpitsang said – “We do not take this historic tour of the Netherlands to our shores lightly. We are keen to showcase the talent that South Africa has and to give opportunities to players who have been patient for a long time and are raring to go,”

South Africa is currently holding the 9th position for the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League standings with 34 points from three series. If at all they win the next three ODIs against the Netherlands, they can directly jump on to the 3rd spot with a total of 64 points.
