On Wednesday, a new list was issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the season 2021. They took some significant measures by removing fast bowlers from the list such as Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, and Wahab Riaz. Hasan Ali then went on to take a dig at the PCB with a cryptic tweet but delete it later.
The 25-year-old fast bowler debuted internationally in 2016. He soon left a mark on his outstanding performance in the Champions Trophy victory of Pakistan in 2017. And its form has dipped since the tournament, and the 2019 World Cup has gone the same way. Frequent injuries made his case worse, and the team dropped him in 2019-2020.
A fan shares Hasan Ali’s deleted post
The young pacer took a handle on his Twitter Official and posted a tweet where his generator brand celebration can be seen. He also quoted, “this is not just a bowling celebration.” The pacer probably wanted to demonstrate that he was not unhappy because he did not obtain the main PCB deal.
He immediately deleted his post from the social media site. However, a fan had taken the same screenshot and shared it on Twitter before that.
Here is the post:
Earlier, Pakistan’s selector cum coach, Misbah-ul-Haq, had explained why Hasan Ali would remove from the list of contracted players. He added that Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz still have ambitions to play for Pakistan, but they have not given a contract since they have retired from test cricket.
“With Hasan missed much of his season because of an injury, selectors made difficult decisions to abandon Amir, Hasan, and Wahab, but Amir and Wahabs decided to concentrate on the white-ball cricket, that was the right move.
“They are senior bowlers and experienced Amir and Wahab, however, and they continue to be in contention, as we believe they will continue to contribute to the cricket team of Pakistan’s men, as well as to mentor our young battery of fast blowers.”
