The Indian cricket team’s batting coach Vikram Rathour, stated that experienced hitters Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane are contributing their best for the nation. Rathour also stated that both batsmen were in fine shape, by this statement Vikram Rathour Backs Pujara And Rahane.
Rathour highlighted that Pujara has performed some crucial innings for the Indian team over the years, and many batsmen have failed to score runs in South Africa’s difficult striking conditions. Rathour also mentioned that the Indians will continue to be patient with both players.

“As far as Pujara and Rahane are concerned, they are trying their best, they are giving their best. Rahane was in really good touch but unfortunately, he got out, so has Pujara. Pujara in past has played some important innings for us, you see these are challenging conditions, not many people have scored runs here“, Vikram Rathour Backs Pujara And Rahane.
“We need to be patient as long as they are trying their best, giving their best as a coaching unit we are fine. Are we getting impatient? Not at this stage, I think,” said Rathour.
Cheteshwar Pujara struggled to produce for India in both innings of the first Test versus South Africa. After Pujara was removed for the very first-ball duck in the 1st innings, he struck a 64-ball 16 in the 2nd.
Ajinkya Rahane batted fluently for 48 runs in the first innings before scoring a fast 23-ball 20 in the second. With 6 wickets in hand on the last day, South Africa resumes the knock to win.
