The Asia Cup 2025, the 17th edition of the tournament, will be held in the UAE from September 9 to 28, 2025, in T20 format, serving as a key preparatory event for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Will India play against Pakistan?

The marquee India-Pakistan clash is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai. The rivals could meet again in the Super 4 on September 21 and potentially in the final on September 28, if both qualify. Despite tensions, including the Pahalgam attack, the Indian government and BCCI have approved participation in multilateral events. Former captain Mohammad Azharuddin expressed concerns, suggesting a pause in cricketing ties until tensions ease, but the decision lies with the BCCI and government of India.
