#4 Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings are having a significant IPL 2025 season, Shreyas Iyer has been leading the team pretty well, as they aim for the title with the defending title winning captain. Their bowling lineup however may not be a strong force in the playoffs against batting heavy teams like Mumbai Indians & Gujarat Titans. Arshdeep Singh has accounted for 16 wickets in 12 innings and Marco Jansen has 14 wickets in 13 innings. Apart from them bowlers like Harpreet brar & Yuzvendra Chahal have been performing inconsistently, and with Chahal’s uncertain participation due to injury concerns. Punjab Kings have a lot of work to do in their bowling department.
#3 Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, have been making a statement with every game they play. What makes them even more dangerous is that their leading wicket-taker Josh Hazlewood is back again his toll of 18 wickets in just 10 games will be adding more wickets in the upcoming matches. Apart from him Yash Dayal, Krunal Pandya, and Buvneshwar Kumar support the bowling lineup, which adds balance to their strong batting squad and helps in dominating matches be it chasing or defending totals.
#2 Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians who had a disappointing start to their IPL 2025, are in a thundering form and have made it into the playoffs. Their bowling lineup is astonishing as well, with names such as Trent Boult their leading wicket taker this season with 19 scalps in 13 matches, Jasprit Bumrah who joined midway to amass 16 wickets in just 9 games, Hardik Pandya who has been having a stellar season with the ball and has taken 13 wickets in 11 innings, Deepak Chahar with his 11 wickets in 13 matches, and a young and upcoming talent Ashwani Kumar with 8 wickets in 4 matches. Mumbai Indians will not be an easy team to beat in this playoffs, aiming for the final berth.
#1 Gujarat Titans
The table topper, and a dominant side this season. Gujarat Titans have been having a wonderful season, be it either bat or ball, they have been the leading benchmarkers in IPL 2025. If we look at their bowling lineup of players like Prasidh Krishna with his 23 wickets in 14 matches, Sai Kishore with his 17 wickets in 14 matches, and Mohammed Siraj with his 15 wickets in 14 matches.
They have a pretty strong bowling side compared to most of the teams. However, they have been struggling to stop teams from scoring big runs in the last 3 matches, as they have conceded 664 runs in the last 3 matches. With strong backup bowlers like Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, and Ishant Sharma, if they can turn this awful run-conceiving tide around, they are aiming towards the finals, and possibly the title as well.
