England faced a huge blow as their star batter in-form Jonny Bairstow suffered an injury while playing Golf. Well, being called a ‘Freak’ incident, it is not the first time when England players managed to injure themselves doing the most unusual things. Here in this article, we talk about England Players and Their Injury List.
Here’s the England Players and Their Injury List to check out:
Who?: James Anderson (October 2010)
The England management believed that pitting their striking bowler in a boxing fight against their bench-pressing bench-warming uber-unit would boost the build-up to their most winnable Ashes tour (2010_ in a generation. According to Tremlett, the objective was to have “20 seconds of trying to smash the s*** out of the other man.” Anderson’s rib was cracked as a result, and it took a long time to recover.

He’d been bowled first-ball by a slower ball from Krishmar Santokie, completing a run of 5, 4, 0, 4, and 0, and had consequently slammed his right wrist on the door of his dressing-room locker. Who?: Jonny Bairstow (October 2018)
It was a funny day when Jonny Bairstow was discovered on England’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2018 by cameras at him as he staggered up the pavilion steps at Kandy on all fours after rupturing his ankle ligaments in a warm-up game of football. Tackling in such games has long been prohibited, owing largely to the knee injury suffered by Bairstow’s teammate, Joe Denly, after being clattered by Owais Shah at The Oval in 2010, but Bairstow’s competitive juices were flowing when he over-reached for the ball and caused himself some damage. As a result, Bairstow created the opportunity for Foakes, the following misfortune, to gain his first Test cap as a wicketkeeper.

Jofra Archer was cleaning a tropical fish tank in his Hove flat’s bath-tub when it slid from his fingers and smashed, leaving glass fragments stuck in his right middle finger. Unfortunately, that elbow has proven to be more difficult to address.

In the week before England’s first Test at Lord’s against India, Foakes lost his footing in the Surrey dressing room and tore his left hamstring. Instead, Gloucestershire’s James Bracey was thrown into the role for a tense debut series, from which his England hopes have never recovered. And Foakes himself had to wait over a year, including a missed Ashes campaign, for his own Test career to resume.
