Global T20 Canada Schedule
The exciting league Global T20 Canada is back after a three-year hiatus and is all set to start on July 20.
The GT20 Canada will be a six-team competition with a total of 25 matches played over the course of 18 days.
All GT20 Canada matches will be played at the Brampton Sports Park. The competition features mostly two high-voltage games per day.
Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, a prominent player for the Brampton Wolves, will be seen in action, as will right-arm seamer Jaskarandeep Singh Buttar, who will play for the Mississauga Panthers.
Several Pakistan stars, including Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik, will be in action. Apart from these two, there are also top Pakistani players will be seen playing in GT20 Canada including Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed and Shahnawaz Dahani.
How many teams are participating in GT20 Canada?
Six teams, Montreal Tigers, Toronto Nationals, Surrey Jaguars, Missisuanga Panthers, Brampton Wolves and Vancouver Knights are taking part in Global T20 Canada 2023.
What is the format of GT20 Canada?
The GT20 Canada tournament will be contested in a round-robin format.
The top four teams will then go to the playoffs, much like the IPL (Indian Premier League) the top two ranked teams will play the qualifier 1, and the third and fourth placed teams will play the knockouts.
The winner of the Qualifier 1 will directly qualify for the finals, while the winner of the knockout will face the loser of the Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 and the one who wins the Qualifier 2 will play the finals on August 06.
